Watching the last of the 80s era Red Dwarf season/series was interesting.

Series/Season 3 had my favorite episodes overall and I noticed it has the least amount of BGM or Cues too. But the silence does add in the atmosphere.

Looking forward to series/season 4, this is a very funny show I'll say.

One of my pet birds got sick with Fat Finch Disease again...

I been trying to find a cure or treatment for it, but most of the helpful videos are in a another language like tamil or hindi.

Which sadly I can't understand at all, the lack of english subtiles makes this even more stressful.

Ohh cool! I did recalled Emu releasing sf2 files for there samplers to be used in them based on the legacy hardware.

It interesting to learn you used soundfonts in Adventures either way.

Thanks for sharing this David. :)

Yooka & Laylee got a glow-up, so of course, the soundtrack had to as well. 🎶 Brand-new tracks + fully orchestrated classics from Wise, Kirkhope, Burke, Murdoch & Griffin — with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra bringing it all to life. Turn it up! 🔊

Yooka-Replaylee launches October 9th.

The perfect dark mod is I've worked on is finally in the n64 vault.

This features the talents from @caseymongillo.bsky.social and John Slike. Sadly this project was cancelled due to the director having health problems.

I wish him the best overall.

Do you ever recalled which Emu Proteus model you own for Adventures? Was it the Proteus 2000 or the older models like the 1 to 3 and FX?

Thanks for the answer, to clarify the first edition of VSL came out in December 2002. I imagine it would been the Kontakt conversions with it libraries included as that came out I believe in May of the same year.

It was the first project where it all done on computer software tools right?

Some cases like that in my end are rare. I got like two MP3 files from Shane Kneip did for Maximo 1 and 2. Also info for the sampler cds he used for the first game.

One time Robert Buckley gave me unreleased cues from Scary Godmother which was awesome btw.

All seriousness, a lot of the composers I spoke with were amazing to speak with. I managed to interview Alexander Brandon and we are planning to collab for a project or so.

My favorite interview to do was the one I did with Nelson Everhart.

@davidwise.bsky.social Hi there, while in Star Fox Adventures you have Advanced Orchestra for the game.

Do you ever recalled using a sampler that can be used with it?
Cheers!

Don't you mean the "first" american to work on Sonic? I heard his mother is very proud.

My portfolio will be updated in the future. We'll see.

Speaking with the lessor known composers who contributed to some great stuff is very fun to interact with.

I have interview a couple of them through a google doc and a podcast.

Generally speaking these are western based composers then anything.

Don't be shy either way. :)

Actually the score by someone else, my bad he seems to contribute only the trailer music which is decent I say.

Still I am not impressed with the score at all.
mikangamerprime.bsky.social
Beside my criticisms, I liked the animation and overall voice direction.

The art direction is pretty decent and fits the tone of the comics.

Besides that all of the things I can share.

I wish I liked the pilot, but I wasn't pleased with it in the end.
mikangamerprime.bsky.social
The pacing is a bit too fast, while homestuck can be hard to follow in terms of that too.

It just don't feel well developed for a pilot, I have to rewatch a couple of stuff to actually get it.

To be fair it kinda on par of the comics. It just too little all over the place.
mikangamerprime.bsky.social
I wasn't really impressed with the music, I felt it sounds like something I hear from animation parodies or anything with a typical orchestral score.

Toby Fox tend to make a lot of amazing tracks, but I feel this score from him wasn't for me.

Power to those who liked it actually.

I felt a lot of the dialogue did not fit the time period of the comics, in fact I heard the term "mid" which did not existed in 2009.

It feels like it written to appeal to the "modern" audience.

The overused swearing is just unfunny to me.
