Could be, but there are a lot of dev studios unquestionably using ‘clean’ LLMs, which was the topic of my original post. That’s happening all over, a lot of it in private

I’m familiar with machine learning :) but as in this case they’ve specifically talked previously about concept art, I think the assumption that we’re talking LLM is reasonable. Hopefully that’s something that gets clarified once they share what they’re actually using it for

Footnote: I think it’s very telling that even the biggest companies with the biggest asset libraries are investing and partnering, rather than building themselves.

That should tell you everything you need to know about the viability of single source, ethical training. If they could, they would.

Ask what the foundational model is. Ask where that data came from. We’re gonna see a lot of people try and launder this stuff, and we should all try to avoid being the useful idiot.
