Sunderland's Keel Line, an installation stretching across Keel Square for almost 292m, to it's end on the newly opened Keel Crossing footbridge over the River Wear. On the Keel Line are the names of the over 8,000 ships built in Sunderland. Shipbuilding ended in 1988 with the Superflex November.

Exposed by low-tide, a small cluster of limpets around a rock pool, with wet green seaweed on the yellow limestone. A wide aperture setting was used to keep focus on the limpets, softening the surrounds.

Another dawn, another hope. Sunrise over the North Sea at Sunderland, 06:20hrs local (BST). Can never help but mentally play Grieg's 'Morning Mood' from Peer Gynt when I watch these :-)

For a future archive. From across the northern bank of the River Wear, Sunderland, 3 tower blocks dominate the sky-line. It's highly likely (although not yet official) that these will be demolished very soon. I live in the right-most one.
