It’s definitely a bit of a bubble, but the thing that militates against it crashing hard is that at the Nvidia end at least there is a real physical product that has real value outside of the bubble.

I’d also say these larger tech companies have experience navigating these kind of markets.

Badenochs (main) problem is that she auditioned for the job of leader of the main opposition party with five years of adoring Mail/Telegraph/Times coverage. The way it’s turned out she needs to be an Ed Davey character battling for attention.

The only way the Jenrick comments weren’t racist is if anyone can come up with evidence of him complaining an area isn’t integrated because he hasn’t seen a single black face in all the time he was there.

'We reformed schools. And guess what? Standards they went through the roof. Those schools have improved, not through words but through strong accountability, academic rigour, rigorous inspection and freedoms'

My timeline is full of middle-aged men bemoaning the fact that Taylor Swift hasn’t written many tracks for them on her new album.

When a legitimate topic of conversation becomes, as it has in the US, “What will the generals do?” then it becomes urgent to reflect on the direction being taken by government.

I heard him speak about 10 years ago at a governors conference and he was quite sensible. Since then his articles have become more and more detached from reality. Which I guess is why he’s become closer and closer to the Tories.

Everything else the Trump administration is doing, the shutdown, Gaza peace process, Ukraine, hiding the Epstein files, all this is to provide cover for Miller to create his police state, to decapitate the Democrats, to rig the voting.

Expecting a hook to come from off stage and pull Badenoch from this interview

The problem it solves is that it gives the Tories/Reform a “thing” to fight against. Same with Brexit. The idea of greater sovereignty was to ephemeral, membership was a binary thing, in or out. Same with ECHR. Much easier to other a thing than an idea.

When the history books are eventually written the Palestinian people will see that every decision made by their leaders in the the past 60 years, from Dawsons Field to October 7th has been antithetical to securing their safe and prosperous future.

IIRC the turnover of Harrods is more than that of the British fishing industry.

Surely the problems arise when they’re not caught?

Someone somehow has convinced Trump he and/or his family can make shedloads of money from peace in Gaza.

Whilst not an idea situation, peace this way is probably better than the current state of war.

I do understand that polls are the reason the media are bigging up Reform.

However I do question their consistency (and honesty) given that most of them were still predicting a hung parliament at the last election right up to the exit poll, despite polling clearly show a significant Labour lead.

Welfare spending is 10.8% as a proportion of GDP and was 10% in 2001. (And the increase is nearly all pensions). Apparently it's now out of control. It's just absolutely bog standard right wing paper talking points.

So supporting West Ham doesn’t make me a West Ham supporter. Right.
