A post-Pred Badlands palate-cleanser. Quality scifi done with craft rather than a CGI mush fest. I miss that so few movies these days build real sets and fill them with real actors and practical effects/lighting. I do wish they had left off the green text message before the final credits rolled.

Really didn't think much of Predator Badlands. Long sections felt like cutscenes from a video game. Humanising the Predator was a huge mistake imho. Predators should be implacable, dispassionate and utterly alien.

Really didn't think much of Predator Badlands. Long sections felt like cutscenes from a video game. Humanising the Predator was a huge mistake imho. Predators should be implacable, dispassionate and utterly alien.

Started working on a tiny version of my Gate Crushers series, starting with the flag bearer.
Those epic scale minis are sooooo tiny, a real challenge to paint. Even had to use a magnifier to do my tiniest edge highlights and smallest glazes ever.
Anyway, hope you like that start, more to come ^^

There's some weirdo takes after three episodes, suggesting a lack of plot development or it's too slow. The 2nd-screen viewing of 'TV' these days would have seen the likes of The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul cancelled in one season is they'd had their way. So far I've loved it.

I'm right handed and have somehow ended up with tennis elbow in my left arm. Even gripping a game controller is very painful. I don't even play tennis.
Seriously though, I do sit in a really weird position to paint miniatures resting on my left elbow and a bit contorted... seems the likely culprit.

29yrs ago one of my top 3 favourite records was released, Entroducing by DJ Shadow. Bought the original CD in a weird surgical dressing sleeve, and have 2 vinyl versions and another CD of it too! Never tire of hearing to it and the memories of that time in my life that flood back when I do #djshadow

Absolutely fine. But nothing better than that. I like the way the Darkfire has been represented. Hate the pea-heads. Poses are very bland and uninteresting. Not a great selection of recent reveals for the Mechanicum in my opinion with the recent fugly Skitarii models. #horusheresy #30k #mechanicum

A dozen or so spins later and whilst it’s not the greatest Ghost album it’s still a good one. Some absolute anthems and fewer skips than Impera imho. Although I wish Spinal Tap had already written about love rockets…
