She was 25 years old in Vana'diel, but because that world had slightly shorter days, it translates to around 21 years old on Etheirys. She teaches Geomancy at The Studium. During the Occult Crescent incident, she was able to cast Vana'diel Blizzard V to save Milah from being killed by a hostile.

Her father would be attacked by a Morbol, but die to its poison. Milah intervened and killed it, and saved her father's body. During the funeral, Sylvie expressed to Milah that she wanted to go to Etheirys because she didn't want to be alone, and felt like she had to leave, to be able to grow.

Sylvie met Milah through a network that would have adventurers choose a mentor to follow. She was chosen to represent the Geomancers to prove herself. The two would become close until they finally met in person, when Milah took a ride from Jeuno to Adoulin, to find her way back to Etheirys.

Sylvie didn't have travelling experience. As a result, she never properly learned offensive elemental magic, as she never travelled to Windurst, a city where every spellcaster pilgrims to. Her strength was understanding the earth to boost and heal her allies with geomancy and white magic.

Born at the Islands of Adoulin, in Vana'diel, she was powerful caster. However limited to defensive and strength-based earth magic, she was highly sought after for her strengthening and mana regeneration magics. She has a fairly ditzy personally, but often shows signs of intelligence and leadership.

Ellie: I'm afraid not... From what I understand, given the few times I've dealt with patients who had Doom, they at least have a few months...

Sylvie: I left Vana'diel to come here with Milah because she promised me a better life, and I made a promise to my mentor, Ikhi, that I would grow, not only as a Geomancer, but as a person. But now she's... dying. And there's nothing I can do.

Ellie: I've known Milah for many years. It's not like her to give up on anything. She kept mentioning something called Dynamis... Does that sound familiar to you? At all? Over here, Dynamis means... Energy created by emotions.

Sylvie: There's a library in Adoulin... It has information on everything, and is updated by the Scholars every so often; from first hand reports of adventurers, etcetera, etcetera... Anyways, I stumbled upon something of how Atomos opens portals to alternate realities, and one world has Vana'diel conquered by Darkness, due to the Shadow Lord and the beastmen. This... Manifestation of a land conquered by darkness is called Dynamis. It is a very real place and was created by Diabolos. His reasoning was to create a world to escape the fate of Vana'diel of the threat of Bahamut, or worse, Promathia, the Twilight God, from destroying the Zilarts and, pretty much the world... But at some point, The Shadow Lord and the beastment invaded Diabolos' dreamland and took it over.

Ellie: Diabolos, huh... He was destroyed in this realm by Cait Sith... Maybe Milah's visions of Dynamis has something to do... What if they're con... No... It couldn't be...

Sylvie: Is Milah's Doom caused by Diabolos somehow?

Ellie: Milah's Doom was caused by being touched by a Voidsent when she was little, so not beyond of the realm of possibility... As far as I know, Milah's never come in contact with Diabolos here... But on your world... No... Just thinking out loud... Sylvie, I want you to do something for me.

Sylvie: Of course.

Ellie: I need you to play along with whatever Milah's going through. I don't want her getting suspicious.

Sylvie: Ellie, I'm not a very good actor... Are you planning something? I want to help!

Ellie: Actually... Yea... We need to see two people- the Warrior of Light... And my stupid brother.

I've seen some vocally anti-AI people recently make an anti-AI post and be surprised there are still pro-AI people following them, and I can explain this;

most pro-AI people think they are somehow the exception. the way THEY are using it, SURELY you would take no issue!
