My opinion is storyboards implies you can do revisions... but mainly I'm talking about people who ONLY have "revisionist" in their bio. To me that's just like signalling that you are green.

Putting "Board Artist Looking for Work" or some such right in your screenname also helps, it makes you way easier to find with a search.

Oh yeah, and leave the phone in the other room. The other reason I recommend writing longhand is that it gets you away from the internet.

I'd just simplify it down to "Storyboard Artist, AVAILABLE FOR WORK" or some such. Especially in the current climate, no one is going to turn down revisions, and you are competing with seasoned board artists for revisionist positions these days.

3 hours is good for a sitting, I find I build momentum as I go and I'm really in the flow around the 1 1/2 hour mark. Longer would be better but I am not doing this full time. I don't often write to music, but when I do I try to listen to things that are high tempo and repetitive with no lyrics.

I've done libraries and coffee shops (sound cancelling headphones a must), but now I work in a comfy chair at home. I write longhand in a notebook these days, I find it helps me silence my inner critic since I can always polish and rewrite when I type it all up later.

This isn't me trying to be mean. It takes forever to sift through portfolios, and at a certain point you start looking for ways to cut corners. If you bio says "3+ years Storyboard Revisionist experience" I immediately ask myself why in 3 years you've never been trusted to be bumped up to Boards.

Me and Wife have been going through the whole series again recently (just wrapped S2, Fire Walk With Me, The Missing Pieces). It is, dare I say, the perfect November show. Really enjoying reading your recaps.
