I’d boil a quarter at a time, from frozen, keep a bit of the meat for myself, and then boil the bones again to make the most amazing turkey soup.

I used to buy frozen turkeys from my local butcher and get them to cut them into quarters (still frozen). They were happy to do it once I explained that the turkey was for making cat food :-)
