It’s what I love most about my country! My dad wouldn’t let me go to the local pool and amusement park because they were segregated. He helped me understand why it mattered. Some kids get the opposite message, served with resentment. Time to heal & educate goodwill—& basic civics classes again too!

America wasn’t great before this monster showed up. That’s why he could prey upon & use his cult followers. Let’s repair the USA by including basic civics in education again, with a priority on our shared humanity and goodwill as a basic necessity for planetary survival when we emerge from all this.

I know of a similar issue on a kids’ sport team. The team had ongoing sessions for parents and kids that was led by a trained facilitator to help everyone grow in understanding that all kids are victims of racism, even the racist kids who’ve been taught to drink poison. Some hearts open to healing.
