Obviously... But in creative industries (and others, I'm sure) you still need a powerful machine to complete many tasks because many of the solutions you're referring to are not appropriate (yet) or may be unavailable for whatever reason. That's why a professional wouldn't turn up with a Chromebook.

Maybe if you're an amateur. No serious professional is using the cloud or AI for actual creative work.

Maybe 10 years ago. There's incredibly powerful, equally aesthetically pleasing laptops out there now. None of them can touch a mac's battery or longevity for some reason. But given cost & likelihood to be on mains for serious creative tasks... that doesn't create much of an issue.

When it comes to graphics/video production etc (assuming this is what you mean), PCs will always have the edge these days in terms of raw power... Twice the machine at the same price as a mac. And, so much is built to take advantage of Nvidia GPUs now. Doesn't mean a mac isn't capable though, obvs.

Everything (including what you've listed) in a documentary is a choice to sway your emotions and empathy. Just like any form of media, the people behind it have a position on the subject and they are presenting that position to you.

The deliberate breaking of 'the rules' is infuriating because it's now the norm. We're at the point where if it's done 'properly', it looks wrong. But there's no good reason for breaking those rules in the first place.
