A winter dogcoat, and an overhead line which runs from the backdoor to my treeline. There is a 3 m lead attached to the overhead line. It allows Sparrow to run out do what she needs to do and zoom back to the door. I'd be out with her clearing the steps, etc.

We've had out 2nd in a row weekend snow storm. This time was a 2+ day snowstorm.
The snow is, much, much higher than Sparrow. It was -27°C with the windchill at one point.
So, we stayed inside unless it was absolutely necessary.
The day(s) were spent on storm watch and napping.
