Quilter, handstitcher, sewist, miniaturist, poet, invisibly disabled, bookworm, queer, and probably too much for people with small minds.
Artan has plopped himself in the midst of my clean laundry. Thankfully these loads were dark colors.

Ellie decided to sample tonight's Hatch chile ladden queso and wasn't too sure about the "bitey cheese." This is an old photo of her classic stink eye, which I received when the green chile but back. I was too busy laughing to get her reaction tonight.

When one reaches adulthood one can do things like eat a vat of queso and chips for dinner. When one reaches middle age, one should hopefully have learned to eat several servings of veggies alongside.

I'm apparently forgiven for being gone over night. She hasn't shunned her dad for medicating her thrice, nor her poppa for whisking me away. Good sign.

Sometimes it's relaxing to be trussed up like human macrame. For some people shibari is akin to using a weighted blanket. I'm some people.

It's days like this where I wonder if it was the chunk of baguette dropped by a bird in Nov. '09, the first weasel (chewed power cable) in Apr. '16, or the second weasel (electrocuted itself) in Nov. '16 that fucked with CERN so hard to push us into this timeline. I just can't tell.

Sometimes when the world is on fire all you can do is re-watch an old season of Great British Baking Show and completely reorganize your embroidery floss stash.

If I had a nickel for every time I've woken up to a surprise group chat with an old friend and someone I've never encountered because there's a quilting question, I would have three nickels now. I would also frame them proudly bc who doesn't want to be thought of as a source of reliable info?

Been dodging fluid in my lungs for almost a week. Feeling better enough to do the actual finishing on this Mill Hill ornament. It's MH18-2225 Spooky Cage for anyone interested. I used 2 strands each of the black, yellow, and darkest orange floss to make the twisted cord hanger.
