yes i understood. what i was trying to communicate is the ranking matches what you would get if you did points from 1 to 12 for both the montenegrin and international vote and calculated the ranking with that.

i think they did eurovision points for the math and then used the montenegrin vote as a tiebreak if you do that then the ranking is correct

well last year there was a ballad with a good singer and basically every adult juror ranked it first so they're trying to do that i think.

i think having more songs is better, like if the broadcaster just picks 7 out of 400 you're gonna doubt they got the best ones. if there's 45 songs and most of them are mid or just bad you're gonna have more faith that the good ones really were the best they got. it's more transparent.

sim cards aren't free. if it's just 1 vote and it's call or text only (or the app can do that for you) it would be a lot more expensive to manipulate the result. and more people would be voting too.

if they're gonna change it they should limit it to 1 vote per person and ban advertising. maybe even make the voting numbers free. but honestly i don't think it needs to be changed i think it's good that we get to see what israel is willing to do for propaganda.

and israel gets 2 from armenia, 7 from serbia, 8 from montenegro, 10 from latvia lithuania and georgia, 12 from everyone else.

the detailed scores for czechia and israel are wrong on the website. i figured them out by filling in the other scores and seeing what's left. czechia gets 8 from rest of the world, 5 from armenia austria and luxembourg, 3 from israel and georgia, 29 total.

they had that last year which turned out to be controversial so they changed it for this year. because people should have the freedom to bring whatever flags they want.

no i like this new format it's so much more engaging like you're rooting for different people throughout when you have to pick one out of three instead of just waiting for your one favorite getting announced. and also they can put 3 likely nqs on screen and then announce portugal like that's good.

cyprus is not in europe. kazakhstan is, but it's a dictatorship. azerbaijan and belarus are also dictatorships. you could make an argument to exclude georgia, turkey, serbia and hungary as well with this criteria. i don't think it's a good idea.

it's not entirely random, there's a specific criteria the juries have to follow. and it still isn't fully predictable. just because you can guess who's likely to win or do well doesn't mean you know exactly how it's going to play out and what the margins will be.

not surprised at all, a lot of people in this fandom form their opinions on whatever bad things the artists do exclusively based on if they like the artist/song. when people like someone they just pretend whatever they did isn't actually that bad and when they don't they send death threats.

i can kinda see how someone could think singing in a native language automatically means singing about the values of the culture behind it. which is wrong, but even if it wasn't, they're still wrong to assume that means specifically "conservative" right wing values. really it could be anything.

i agree with that but i kinda get why you would just block, because if you want to mute someone you can't just do it directly from the post you have to go on their profile and do it from there and people are lazy
