So what is the relevance or need to comment on point 2? What does it add to the discussion? How does it inform us on the issue that’s actually newsworthy (the escalating attacks on trans people in all parts of civil society)? Why does the grade of this student need to be litigated?

No, that’s not what relevance means in this context. Relevance is synonymous with importance. Aka, something is relevant enough to write an essay about. The story in point 2 is not relevant enough to justify a constitutional law scholarly opinion. It is not even a story at all.

No they aren’t, because the two are not antitheses nor are they being discussed together. One of these two points is newsworthy and relevant (the assault on trans teachers and attempted smear campaign). The other is about a student getting a low grade. Not a news story. Not relevant.

Even if it was his dog, he’s way too busy to give it enough attention to have a healthy and happy life. I sure hope he had a full time dogsitter.

tbh I have my own constellation of egg suspects in the college football coach/media ecosystem but I never connected the dots on Lane. Lane is, if not an egg, a very strong grungler candidate in a different life.

It can also be true that it rained in Seattle today and that the mariners are projected to spend an additional $20M during free agency. Neither of those things are relevant and pointing them out just derails this conversation though, so I don’t do that, as a rule.

Anthony, I just want you to know that I applaud your stance here. It is noble to aspire to be even 1% as brave when talking about something that has no effect on you as the average trans person has to be about just going to the grocery store.

I am seeing encouraging signs that the daily demonstration that yes, your government can in fact just “do that”, has started to radicalize the libs to demand more from their reps. Particularly red state libs.
Of course, it is a dead end still, but anything to get them to realize that is good.

He’s an all time heel for sure. And what’s amazing is he does this without cheap heat. He didn’t actually announce it during game day or the iron bowl. He hasn’t gone up there and lied about loving Ole Miss and staying there forever. There’s a kind of honesty with this dude.
