During my wait for a taxi home, I realized it has too much parking. It has room for a snowbank so tall I didn't see the convenience store across the lot.
An entire section of parking lot is given over to snow storage. There is a Circle K sign just barely peaking over the snow. It must be beyond rather than under the snow.

Today is "wrangle the cat to the groomer for a haircut" day. Mush is not happy in this taxi. He is extremely vocal about his opinion.

As a teen, I thought this was a silly volunteer appreciation gift. Yet as the world has changed, it still thanks me.

Apparently it is only Moodie to Trim they don't have timings for. Based on this comment in the chat from OCT staffer.

The 2 cats do sometimes cuddle. They do tolerate our long term guest dog. So 3 photos.
Mush, a large grey cat, likes to snooze on the back of the armchair with his left side paws dangling down the front and his right paws dangling down the back. Mac, an orange and white cat, is balanced on the arm of an armchair. Moments later, he leaped 3 m to my lap on a nearby couch. In every sense, he is a flight risk. Bella, a mostly white Jack Russell dog, likes to rest her cheek on the tip of my nose to ensure she has my attention. Here her brown eye patch and white jaw hide my face in my selfie.

There is little point repairing sidewalks with expensive temporary repairs.

The May pic is from when I first reported the issue. It was repaired in October with winter asphalt (lower quality than summer asphalt). Dec pic was today. The repair survived maybe 2 weeks of snowplowing. #AusterityOttawa
May 2025: a deep wide crack runs all the way from grass to the road. Parts of the crack are through the full thickness of the slab. Oct 2025: all the cracks in the concrete are filled with black asphalt. Even from 2 m away, the individual grains of asphalt are visible. It does not appear that the asphalt was rolled or stamped to cause the grains to merge together. Dec 2025: the asphalt is mostly scrapped off. The orange spray used by the team to mark the area to be repaired is visible in several sections.

Hey @octranspo.com @lauradudas.bsky.social We need actual sidewalk clearing at Place d'Orléans station (in the part still owned by contractor). The path is not yet handed over to you but your riders must use it to access the station. No salt either.

Third major attempt to figure out timing of my trip downtown.

This looks to be a @octranspo.com data issue plus @transit.app weirdness. The 12 does leave from Blair. It does not go to Tunneys. It would take me close to my destination.

Are others seeing issues with @transit.app results in Ottawa? My Orleans to Rideau Centre / NAC / Elgin trip is whack.

It suggests I teleport from Innes Rd to South Keys and then walk to Rideau Centre. Screenshot using a restaurant on Elgin as destination. Again my trip has gaps. This time I teleport from Innes to Blair, then walk to St Laurent, then walk to South Key then teleport to downtown.

Today marks one year since the guest cats came for a brief stay. Now they are permanent residents. 2 weeks ago they "welcomed" Bella a white terrier as a guest dog.
Mush, a grey cat, has his front paw holding Mac, an orange and white cat, close as he rests his head on Mac's back. They are sleeping on a fuzzy blanket on a blue couch. Bella, a mostly white terrier with a large black spot over one eye is snuggled under a fuzzy blue blanket on a beige couch. We can only see her nose and eyes.

@helps.octranspo.com Since Stage 2 handover is delayed, you need to winter proof hoarding at Place d'Orleans staircase. There was very significant pooling during rain events this week. The puddles on stairs will be ice soon.

Below two photos of the pylons is the following 5 star review. We came all the way from Sudbury to see these. I'm so glad the exhibition was still showing them when we got here 🙏🙏 10/10 would recommend seeing these cultural icons. They sparked so much joy every time we seen them.

Do not get me started.I have pics on this issue too.

Asphalt that went in in September, is already crumbling. Very very large grains compared to other patches. My suspicion is road asphalt that requires rolling to blend was tamped by hand.

This is part of the newly refurbished Jeanne d'Arc station. It is less than a year old.

One of the savings I want all City of Ottawa departments to achieve is reduced rework. We should not pay for such poor quality work. #OttPoli
The long narrow photo show the join between two slabs of the concrete bus pad. There are extensive cracks on both side. The far edge is basically gravel.
