quirked up death machine
the laws of a society and crimes committed within a society have no bearing on whether or not every single person within it deserves to be the victims of genocide. id like to see you say this about the many thousands of innocent palestinian children who have died as a result of israel’s genocide
February 1, 2025 at 5:18 PM
actually they had the entirety of palestine. the whole area was palestinian land, sure it was ruled over by the ottomans and then the brits, but it was israelis who began forcing them out of their homes. all “israeli” land is palestinian land
February 1, 2025 at 5:12 PM
i dont think you know what the word “collectively” means

regardless, i’m not going to entertain this flat out racism any longer. cya
February 1, 2025 at 5:10 PM
forcing people out of their own land is ethnic cleansing, not “peace”. palestinians have every right to fight to stay in their own homes
February 1, 2025 at 5:07 PM
the person you are replying to collectively groups arabs under “people who throw queers off of rooftops”. do not expect a nuanced conversation with them
February 1, 2025 at 5:05 PM
its also irrelevant, i was talking about the party which is currently not in government
February 1, 2025 at 4:57 PM
twisting the semantics of “the people” to include those who rule over the people doesnt actually benefit anybody in this conversation
February 1, 2025 at 4:57 PM
i don’t quite care? i’m not going to suddenly not give a shit about genocide because of the potential that some of the victims may dislike me
February 1, 2025 at 4:55 PM
you’re also misinterpreting the poll. it doesn’t say 2/3rds of dem voters support israel/dont care about palestine. it says 1/3rd of people who previously voted biden but didnt vote harris cited palestine as the reason. it is 1/3rd of potential but lost voters, not 1/3rd of people who did vote dem
February 1, 2025 at 4:42 PM
i voted for harris actually. i’m a queer minority and have been adversely affected by trump’s executive orders. however, i still empathise more with those voters who stood their ground on palestine than the party who had the easy job of appeasing these voters
February 1, 2025 at 4:33 PM
the party is responsible for convincing people to vote for it. they failed to address voters’ concerns. they lost votes.

hello?
February 1, 2025 at 4:23 PM
i just showed you evidence that they lost 1/3 of their original voters over specifically palestine, yes they ignore other issues too, but palestine was clearly the dealbreaker for many. i dont see the benefit in you trying to deny it without evidence

all the dems had to do was stop backing israel
February 1, 2025 at 4:11 PM
again, why do you choose to blame the voter and not the party? the party could easily rectify this problem and i struggle to empathise with their refusal to do so. i do however empathise a lot with those who didnt want the dems to believe they can get away with participating in ongoing genocide
February 1, 2025 at 4:07 PM
the party lost a third of its potential voters because it refused to change its stance to appease those it claims to represent. the fault is not on the voter, the fault is on the party for thinking they can get away with ignoring their base
February 1, 2025 at 4:04 PM
according to a very recent imeu and yougov poll, almost a third of people who previously voted biden refused to vote for kamala specifically because the party hadn’t changed its stance on palestine

people abandoned the democrats because the party didn’t alter its stance on gaza, the responsibility is on the party for not meeting voters’ demands. blaming anybody else is naive at best
February 1, 2025 at 3:55 PM
maybe direct your anger at the party currently engaged in destroying the country instead of random voters you actual moron

Poll shows Harris lost part of her base because of her genocide support.

She would have had a shot at winning if she excited her base.

Strategically and morally, she made the wrong decision.
January 25, 2025 at 11:51 PM
and since the party did infact not address this issue, if those potential voters were to vote for them anyway it would only tell the democrats that they can get away with ignoring their base

i did vote for kamala, but its piss easy to empathise with those who refused to do so on account of gaza
January 27, 2025 at 4:33 PM
actually it isnt delusional, a large number of potential voters actively telling the party they will not vote unless the party’s stance on Z in most countries is a good way to pressure your party into changing
January 27, 2025 at 4:33 PM
i didnt choose them, and if youd actually read the tweets on my profile that you keep responding to, youd see that i think single issue voting is terrible

i still dont think blaming the voters rather than the genocide apologists is a good path!

im bigoted? lmfao ok buddy

lmfaooo grow up and face reality for a few minutes instead of indulging your absurd delusion
January 27, 2025 at 4:23 PM
actually i can, as can most people with a half functioning brain and any semblence of an education. leftists have been discussing and protesting the genocide there for actual decades, it just only took off so hugely recently thanks to a faster flow of information to the youth
