Mainly posts about my dreams, my child and #TheArchers
My son’s friend made me a card when he found out I was pregnant and honestly I couldn’t be more chuffed - more cards should feature a pit of doom.

Excellent photography from the kid today.

Didn’t ever think that I’d board Michael Portillo… #Railway200

I use old sampler books to inspire my fairly haphazard cross stitch cards. This one by Jo Verso from 1989 shows a family sampler with a range of hobbies and interests, including what looks like a cigarette and a cigar.

When your friend ‘saves’ her Red Devil apples for you and a select group of friends and they are delish but you do wonder if you will survive the night.

Oh Kemi.

Can’t quite believe that I bought this in Asda without looking at it carefully - the more I look, the more design errors I see. It’s not like I’ll have to see it every day in my child’s room or anything…

My dog is auditioning to be one of those tiger rugs.

A nostalgic experience even if I wasn’t a big fan of the comics.

My child has been given a pile of old Beanos and Dandys from the 80s and 90s. While I have to explain to him that violence, name calling and bullying aren’t ok even if they are in the comics, it’s all worth it to hear him exclaim ‘sheesh’ and ‘oh boy!’.

My friend has gifted my son with her collection of 80s and 90s Beano and Dandy magazines. We have to put some of the language and actions into context a bit but overall it’s been good to have more editions to browse. Here is a wild ad for some LEGO men with little individually hinged legs.

Nothing quite as humbling as planning a sign to support marathon runners, only to remember that your presentation skills have always been poor and that it’s best to have your six year old colour it in and pass it off as his work. #EdinburghMarathon

And it’s made me wonder if students now are as likely to print off weird in jokes and stick them on each others doors like we did.

That my doodle self portraits weren’t actually that bad.

Also that I used to literally copy and paste information as a revision tactic.

Going through my old university notes has reminded me of a few things - number one being that there was a time when it was best to print off a map because you couldn’t view it on your phone, or trust that signal would be good enough, even in a city centre.

And add my own terrible picture for good measure.

Following that, I can only guess that these are your notes @eggy.bsky.social ?

My son pizza making yesterday so he made me a book about ‘luv’ in which people were unhappy and had nothing so the main character a) gave them money and b) gave them a gift to cheer them up. I do however need to speak to him about other things that make us feel love other than physical gifts…

I feel like the use quotation marks suggest the opinions of the reporter here.
