I once enjoyed the music in a cocktail bar so much that I asked about it and they burnt me a copy (different times). Turned out it was a Late Night Tales albums of music chosen by my favourite band, Belle & Sebastian.

The father of one of my brother’s friends once explained to him that music at tea time had to be ‘conducive’. Our family has used the word ever since to debate if our soundtrack is suitable.

Bumped into my ‘dream boyfriend (see previous posts) who was going on a lads trip to Paris and showed me a large prank walking stick that they had. And I carried on hunting fruitlessly.

The change consisted of trinkets and things that must have been left at the cafe so I returned it and complained at which point they said that the coffee had been free, as they don’t sell it, and the change was just for fun. I was still waiting for coffee when I woke up, relieved not to need it.

They didn’t do them but could give me ice and coffee and explained that it was like a branded drink at another shop. They then took ages and stopped for a coffee break before making mine, and just as I was saying not to bother because my parents were finished, they handed me ‘change’.
