The official page is here: www.fresquedelabiodiversite.org/en.html And here is a link to a blog post I wrote after I played it for the first time, before training as a facilitator myself, and facilitating for students repeatedly now: mirjamglessmer.com/2023/04/13/t...

We have really positive experiences with different serious games, for example the Biodiversity Collage; students get super engaged also emotionally, and say they really appreciate a different approach (and that someone actually asks them about how they are feeling)

Going outside, breathing some fresh air and seeing some nature is such an underrated coping strategy! Agree that that is usually the best first step and the rest will fall into place later, or at least I'll be more ready to work on it then

A4: A solid tribe. Find people that share your values and connect with them regularly. This gives strength in finding commonality but also finding different strategies to manage and facilitate the chaos. #LTHEchat

Thanks for sharing, that title sounds intriguing and I can't wait to check it out later!

I think this works really well -- I have started giving the "go for an inspirational coffee chat with a colleague and ask them about how they approach the topic" task at academic development workshops and participants really appreciate that they have the "excuse" to bother someone and connect!

A2 I think for me the most important first step was to realise that I cannot wait for someone else to tell me what to do but that I need to somehow start moving myself and then figure out the rest along the way. The process is the point as @asv.bsky.social writes in her brilliant book!

This is so true! How are you approaching uncertainty as a learning outcome in your materials?

That gif is a great way to make that point!

I like this! I would have probably said compassion and care. But agree, super difficult to cultivate! Any ideas for where to start?

I like this, and it is so difficult to be self-aware! Any suggestions for how we can start practicing this ourselves and with our students?

Hi this is Mirjam from Germany, currently living in Sweden, but right now at my second job in Norway, where I go to dip in a fjord with friends every morning. Currently 10degC water temperature -- best way to start the day!

And at @lund-university.bsky.social, Lévy and I reflect on our work to overcome the fear of student discomfort and peer judgment while teaching for sustainability (doi.org/10.5324/njst...). All three are really interesting, if I say so myself! :)

Together with @sehoya.bsky.social and others, Hammarlund writes about understanding student sense of belonging in introductory STEM courses, also investigating students at @unibergen.bsky.social (doi.org/10.5324/njst...)
