Making it crystal clear that the Russians funding AND influencing your US media coverage is just fine with the Trump admin.
Tenet Media founder Lauren Chen, who secretly took money from two people with ties to Russian state media to involve conservative influencers in an unwitting propaganda scheme, is back in the US after being deported to Canada under President Biden. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

The reporters and staff at ProPublica have done great work to build the outlet into a trusted public interest media brand.

Is @propublica.org management trying to make it into another untrusted content aggregator and purveyor of AI slop? Why?
1/ At bargaining yesterday, @propublica.org management said that they should have 100% discretion to replace workers with AI and would not commit to labeling future AI-generated content.

The most interesting part of this story isn’t that the pipe bomber is MAGA. That was blatantly obvious. What should interest folks is that the FBI and DoJ hid that fact from you, and still haven’t made a statement. This info is coming from sources on the condition of anonymity.

It’s been sad this year watching how the White House press corps refuses to back each other up. Here a female journalist is insulted and denigrated and the next male reporter just moves on to a new question. You’re all in this together, folks. Time & again, they won’t stand up for their colleagues.
Trump to a female reporter who tries to ask him about his plans for Memphis: "Quiet. You're really obnoxious ... I'm not gonna talk to you until I call on you."

Buried in the regime's political takeover letter of the Smithsonian is the worst bit. Unlike exhibits, which are non-destructive towards primary materials, temporary in nature, and reversible, the foundational collections are irreplacable. They want to be able to throw stuff out.

No one will be fooled by this. People are asking for the release of the evidence from the Epstein investigation. The grand jury transcripts are something else entirely and would exclude almost all evidence.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet.

They make sure we have clean water.

They protect us from financial fraud.

They provide healthcare to our communities.

They make our government actually work for people.

Do not forget this.

Leaked documents confirm it: what happened in MacArthur Park yesterday wasn’t about safety. It was about theater.

A photo op. Propaganda. Intimidation.

No known arrests. They weren’t after violent criminals. They were after headlines.

No one should be calling this "Alligator Alcatraz' especially journalists. Alcatraz was an actual prison with people convicted of crimes. While this obscenity looks very jail-like, it is supposed to be an immigration detention center. It only helps Trump when you repeat MAGA marketing.

no one cares that this is illegal but it is illegal and seems like something that might trip the court’s “major questions” doctrine
Per @npr.org, the Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the White House U.S. DOGE Service, has built a searchable national citizenship register with data from the Social Security Administration & immigration records— without public notice & comment.

The Trump administration is building a national citizenship data system
The Department of Homeland Security, with help from DOGE, has rolled out a tool that purports to be able to check the citizenship status of almost all Americans.

Such a good point on SCOTUS hypocrisy when it comes to Trump vs Biden:

They let a nationwide injunction kill Biden’s student loan relief when they had a chance to rule on it.

5 months into Trump’s presidency, suddenly nationwide injunctions are a grave threat to executive power and they must rule.
