It’s disheartening that every time I look for South African content or browse local feeds, all I see is talk about Elon Musk and how his behavior is linked to his family’s history during apartheid. There’s so much more to South Africa—our culture, stories, and creativity deserve the spotlight.

To be clear, we do have plans for scaling, we just kinda expected more than a couple days notice before getting blasted with a million new users a day.
The team is rapidly deploying fixes and new software to adapt. More servers in the mail.

Sadly the public trust has run out. Parts of Johannesburg haven’t had water at all for the past five days.
Water and Sanitation Deputy Minister David Mahlobo has assured the public that the country will not run out of water. He says there are plans to build more dams.
