This kind of AI upscaling on YouTube needs to be opt-in. Automatically applying this across the board (only shorts at the moment) can often just make stuff look like crap or at best, uncanny.

STOP FORCING AI BULLSHIT ON EVERYTHING. GIVE US A FUCKING CHOICE.

Saw a YouTube short in the wild with that AI sharpening/upscaling in effect and it was so much worse because it was Doom.

Like having texture filtering on full whack in GZDoom with additional smudge.

The Ig Nobel is incredible , one year an Indian guy won it for calculating the average surface area of an elephant and during his acceptance they had an elephant hold up a sign with the surface area of the scientist on it, they do showbiz better than the Oscars
