Doing a book club with some guys I met on Twitter. It’s been good so far. All of us are more non-fiction readers so the fiction emphasis is good so far.

Yeah it’s probably a fools errand. And an icbm shield doesn’t make the world more peaceful unfortunately. It takes away the forced peace of MAD.

Growing up in eastern WA it felt like Canadian flags were nearly as common as American flags. It’s sad it’s not that way anymore. :-(

I legitimately believe a US invasion of Canada would quickly morph into a civil war in the US and Canada. You’d have some albertan separatists supporting the invasion. You’d have people in places like WA and Minn. supporting Canadian insurgents and things would get complicated fast.

Not to mention some US officers would likely defect with their units at a certain point.
