2/2 It meant there was space for a ton of other authors for people to discover. I love Stephen King’s books, but I also like finding new authors and this particular stores fantasy/sci fi/horror section is mainly Romantasy at present.

I came home with 2 scifi books to read.

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep knitting this or frog it. I won't wear the finished object and this was started purely in a I wonder what would happen if mood. And it's too fine and fiddly for me to want to keep knitting. For the moment, it's set aside until I work out whether I'm going to frog.

I'm fine, thanks for asking. I'm over in WA and it's lovely and cool today for a change. The heat you have over this is what we had last week.

Been there. Had to stay prepped once, had to evacuate the second time. Can you find something to do to distract yourself?

Arguing over a box of leaves. I had a spare box. Put some leaves in it the other day for them to explore and now one cat will sit in it while the other cat is outside the box and they proceed to whack at each other.

And I really like this one.

None of what I'm writing is going to be published. It's a space to play and develop, to let my brain explore things.

And I need to remember to write these more often. It's fun.

Some days it's junk but other days there are stories there I can use. Stuff I can take and run with that I wouldn't normally consider or write. It's been fascinating to do and a way to clear my brain of whatever is running through it.

Today, it's a weather mage and her sister.

He doesn’t get let out like this alone. I always go with him. I used to put him on a lead but I don’t need it. He likes to take me for a walk most times and waits for me to catch up when I get distracted.

It’s been too hot for him go out like this for longer than a few minutes.
