On the way home from the vet’s office today, I decided to play a little with long exposure (3 sec) and intentionally moving. My dashboard gave me some cool lines.

Oh my gosh! So this is what it looks like when the sun is out! I was going to start a new challenge yesterday, but furnace went out. Got that taken care of, then off to the vet this morning (3 hours away). So, I’m going to try and start a mew challenge come Monday. Sometimes life gets in the way….

Honestly, it’s been really hard concentrating on my work lately. So many people are suffering; are being separated from their families, are being killed, beaten, sent who knows where. I feel helpless, I’m sad and I hate the orange stain and his disgusting admin.

It’s been below 0 all day today. My mourning doves were watching me, so I went out and made sure there was seed available for them. The pine trees are so full of snow, there is shelter for them to get warm huddling together. I always worry about the critters. If they come to my door, I try and help.

Fuji and Fargo. Always have to fight for attention. Always want to be on a lap. Fuji says no way a 90+ pound doggo is getting lap space. Big dog…itty bitty lap. But Fargo tries….

Took a ride out back today. Nothing is more peaceful and the positive energy I get from being back there can’t be explained. Nature is the best medicine sometimes.

Was hoping to see some color outside this evening, but clouds are all that is showing up. I’ll try again in a little while, but I got some great stuff this morning and it was so worth it getting up so early.

What a morning I had capturing the northern lights with my daughter. I don’t care about meaningless things; toys, screens, computer games. Teaching my kids about the earth and caring for it. Living in the moment. I hope that’s how they remember me when my time comes.

Was out at 4:30 am and just came in since the sun is rising. Got a couple of good ones to share from the front yard.

Jan 16 - Day 12…Before and After. Took these on my phone in Marquette, MI at the ore dock on Presque Isle. The phone wasn’t the best camera to take the shot with, but it’s what I had and the hubby was driving and he wouldn’t stop where I wanted. Sometimes you get what you get. Oh well….

Jan 12 - Day 8…Before and After. Today I turned 60. Yep. Getting up there in age. I am lucky to have gotten here, for sure. I just hope I can make the world a little better for being here and that I can remind everyone about all the things that are truly important that I fear so many have forgotten.

January 11 - Day 7…Before and After. Traveling through Negaunee, MI during the storm yesterday and I still managed a couple relatively decent shots. I’m happy with these. It’s all about learning. 😃

I took the Alone Tree and made the image black and white. I totally love how this came out. Printing it Monday and it will be for sale.

Jan 10 - Day 6….Before and After. There was ice on a rock the looked very “cell” like to me, so I shot it…with my phone. I thought it came out quite interesting.
