Musk supporting calls to "white solidarity" made me think of Ignatiev et al's "Race Traitor."

I've not read the edited collection, but did come across a pdf of the first edition of the magazine "Race Traitor" (1993) to read instead. files.libcom.org/files/Race%2...

If I may add to this, from blog notes on Trump and fascism, Dec 2015:

"Fascism is what happens when ‘domestic violence’ goes public and political, is justified through elaborate forms of victim-blaming and an inverted view of victimisation ..."

Franz Neumann's Behemoth: The Structure & Practice of National Socialism, 1933-1944.

Published in 1942.

[Disagreed with most of Neumann's theories. And, learned a lot — I'd become so bored with learning nothing new from more recent books on fascism.]

Define: security.

Contrast the extreme insecurity inflicted on Black and Brown people with Jeffries' and Sanders' lauding Trump for securing the southern border.

Speaking of natalism as a competitive sport, here's the "Cross of the German Mother," a medal introduced by Hitler. More history in the alt-text.

Still reading, but it's good to see discussions of the distinct, insightful contributions of Black scholars to understanding fascism. Not least, these points:

Looking for a pdf of O'Donnell's essay, "Antisemitism under erasure: Christian Zionist anti-globalism and the refusal of cohabitation."

The abstract is promising:

From Trump's Executive Order on antifa. Christian nationalism and border control figure prominently.

A reminder that degrees are not a statistical proxy for class. This is terrible, pseudo-sociology. (Kirk's wealth has been estimated at $12 million.)

But what I'm mostly struck by is the "feminisation" of education, especially universities — and his use of "muscular class" in so doing.

Reminiscing... A very long time ago, I came across Trevor Pateman's edited collection, Countercourse in a second-hand bookstore. (I lent it to someone, and can't find a copy now)

It changed my thinking on universities. And the role of student movements in knowledge production too.

"centuries of legal tradition"

It wasn't until 1996 — with the passage of the Defence of Marriage Act — that marriage was defined as a union between one man and one woman.

So, this is the NYT's source, Jordan Laski, arguing that national IQ categories are "valid" — and heritable, genetic, hierarchical and real.

Because, you know, if you can count stuff, and put them into boxes, then those boxes are real, right? (Please don't ask how the boxes were made)

I wrote this in late 2015:

The brutal father-fuhrer is pivotal to fascism’s conflation between nation and family, the figure that promises to restore the mythical coherence of the polity when that unique coherence is perceived as endangered.

The reliance of a so-called national economy on the hyper-precarious conditions wrought by the de facto and formal criminalisation of migrant labour is ironic. It's also proof against zero-sum Malthusian claims about that economy

Peddling falsehoods and disfortions, they put quite the effort into redwashing Kulldorf's "back to work" campaign as good for the working class.
