I definitely had this same view of food from “back in the day” until I read The Poison Squad. Such a great book on the subject! Highly recommend!

Ugh. My brain.
I just trudged through the slowest book of my life for book club. Everyone else at book club was like “I didn’t finish it. It was too slow.” Unfortunately, I don’t have that gene. Once I’m in, I have to finish it. Even if I complain and am miserable the whole time. 😭
