Stick of Truth obviously. High on Life looks silly - from the creators of Rick and Morty. Jazzpunk has cats in suits. Also going far back in time, something like Conker's Bad Fur Day?

Villain's mistake here was betting the flop. They have an equity edge against our ranges, but there's lots of reasons for them not to bet. Only two cards would actually give them the nuts, and without a king or a club, it's easy for someone (like me!) to raise with a made hand/better draw.

Mike Martin MP (who is excellent on ukraine/defense) raised the same question in parliament last month - hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2025...

Where can I see them?

Again the Beatles were pioneers here with Hey Jude. That outro feels at least 30 minutes long

Just to clarify, I assume you’re referencing republicans and not drag acts?

We’ve got like 50+. What we need is better marketing for them

I’ve been careful not to observe them. So for me the takes are still in a state of both good and bad

I’d also like to see the median value stated rather than just the “average”

As played, I should have more 9x on river than villain does, so I probably can safely fold some of my Qx hands. And maybe the 8 blocks enough bluffs from 87/86/T8/J8 that I should at least consider pure folding this against most small stakes players.

In game it felt like an indifferent call to me - and I decided that I could fold with 8d and call without it. And solver agrees that my hand is a much better call than Qs8d. But honestly, if it's still a losing call maybe I can still fold this.

I call and lose to Ac9c. In game I didn't think villain would have much 9x, but his smaller bet size on the turn actually allows for more 9x than I gave him credit for. Still, my hand blocks 98s and Qx, and unblocks missed flush draws, JT, KT, 67 etc

On river we check and face a pot-sized bet. And again we should mostly be calling to protect our range, but this is a losing call with our specific hand.
December 7, 2024 at 2:11 PM
Villain bets half pot. In game this seemed an easy call. And it is an easy call for our range, but it's the worst option for our specific hand.
December 7, 2024 at 2:11 PM
Turn is 2s. This doesn't change anything, so no reason to suddenly bet. We should check 100% here.
December 7, 2024 at 2:11 PM
Our hand is almost a pure split between bet small and check. Here I checked. Villain bet 70% pot and I don't think we can do anything but call. Our check/raises should come from sets, Q9/AQ for value, and T8cc/T8dd/JTcc type hands as bluffs
December 7, 2024 at 2:11 PM
On the flop we have only a slight equity advantage over entire range. And only a slight nut advantage. Which leads us to bet less often, and bet small when we do.

So I think call is fine. River bricked and I folded. Annoying hand. I was surprised by just how much QT villain has here. And I don't know that I would always find the turn bet as villain, so I should keep those in mind. And take a note that villain is capable of raising turn, so no thin value bets!

Against a GTO SB range I have about 25.5% equity. And I need 29% based on pot odds. So I need to make another 20BB on the river (less if villain is looser, which I have reason to believe he is). I'd be going all in for 30BBs into a pot of 155BB. Most small stakes players won't find a fold.
