I agree, for the most part, except—when a director of this caliber takes on franchise projects, they bank goodwill with the studios to later create their own project with so much more gusto than they ever could have imagined before. Villenuve’s next personal project will kill people with its focus.

Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? Why do we not all say it? I guess we must be the change we want to see in the world, etc.
