Stares at numbers at Simon and Schuster, runs ARGN.com - more ARGs, escape rooms, immersive theater, and puzzle stuff than you probably want to hear
Upshot: this was kind of a great conspiracy graphic to be featured in.

You'd think that would have led to the accusations.

But no, it was a few weeks later when fans were going through videos submitted to the New Noology Project. That's when they spotted my hat.

FIRST UP: Dispatches From Elsewhere. When I was in law school, I had an internship in SF, so got to play day one of the Jejune Institute. Over a decade later I was in Philly, and spotted a very familiar logo that tied an online ARG called the "New Noology Network" to the Jejune Institute.

I feel extremely targeted by that last puzzle, and greatly appreciate it.

...how have I never met someone wearing this shirt, it seems like the most obvious fan merch ever.

I need a sitcom from an "ARG Extras Breakroom" setting, stat.

I trust Taggarene.

Gonna have to confront how I found the line "I wouldn't worry about it...it's out of your hands" kinda hot.

Problem for another day.

Love the idea of a prop house.

At RECON a few years back, I learned about the concept of "touch real" to describe how much reality you build into an escape room set. And Nicholas' interactions with Christine's "house" sell that message.

"California Regal Sedans" - imagine the branding opportunities! What in-game company can't be signaled by a new acronym!

(Also: that was not safe. This is the least safe part so far, what were they thinking)

THERE we go, there's those extra keys we were promised!

UV lights make every ARG better.

I need to know: did the number work, back in the day?

Who has it now?

Here's to new experiences that definitely haven't started yet.

I do love that they've set up competing offices. SF versus London - who does it better?

Getting flashbacks to when I did Jejune Institute, from his visit to CRS HQ. Less focus on subterfuge, but similar vibes nonetheless.

"What do you get for the man who has...everything?"

Have we tried to use that as a catchphrase for the space yet?

Starting up "The Game", for my first time viewing it. Cracked open my bottle of ARG wine, and everything.

Time to see why the community loves it so much.

...I see what all the buzz was about. I highly recommend seeing "The Opening", and not just because it's a musical that teaches Morse code.

There's a chess set for the audience, in the front!
January 8, 2026 at 11:55 PM
Seeing first night of previews for the Chess musical!*

* the other one

Uncanny.

It still seems to be stocked moderately well! I don't think this site tracks Canadian retailers, but there's a definite Boston presence (I know, you're likely remote this year) www.totalwine.com/wine/red-win...

Incredible - my own Eldritch Shrine says hi, albeit with less dramatic mood lighting!

(Cthulhu is the "sibling" of your statue, Orobas relief is from a Lovely Molly ARG that almost happened)
