Eight Josephites became acolytes and lectors this week in Washington, while two made final professions in the religious community, which serves African Americans across the nation.

The latter men will be ordained to the transitional diaconate on Saturday. https://buff.ly/4g0eWsU

The fiery #Mary of the #Magnificat is a far cry from the meek and mild maiden of popular piety.

We'd all do well to recite --and believe-- her song of praise recorded in Luke's gospel 1:46~55

Perhaps we'd view events differently.

Maranatha! As we begin the joyful season of Advent, may that be our prayer throughout. Come Prince of Peace! Bring your balm to our angst, our pain, our divisions. Help us realize the gift of others in our common life, in which you too took flesh.

Please, let us continue to pray for peace! War is a human defeat; it does not solve problems but only brings destruction. So many children and innocents die! Let us pray for all countries at war. Let us always pray for peace.

Dunno who needs to hear this, but...

If we're at a conference and you find yourself in a session that isn't quite for you, you absolutely do not need anyone's permission to quietly step away and check out another session.

Your time is your most valuable resource.

The Catholic school, as a ministerial agent of the Church, is called to embrace the reality that we are all “unique and unrepeatable” and live this in all aspects of the school. Schools are only complete when learners with disabilities are members of the community. #HerrmannCenter #SLU_EDU

The methods of mission have evolved (thank God!) but the motivation & urgency remain.

All baptized Christians have a duty to spread the Good News--by living it.

Everyone on earth has the right to hear it.
