I love mine as a way to play indie games and emulators, plus with Emudeck (if you join the patreon) you get cloud saves for emulated games.
Plus cloud saves for steam games etc.
I must add the caveat I play a lot of emulated and indie games though.

I do have a slightly different view on MS and Xbox, I am convinced that they are making these wild claims about profitability and hiking game prices so that when it fails, the investors are the ones that demand Xbox closes.
I don't think MS wants to be a console manufacturer.
