#WorldPressFreedomDay in @BCLegislature Still thinking about what we heard about current risks to journalists and journalism. 124 journalists killed in 2024 almost as many as killed in WW2. @keithbaldrey recalled when #Burnaby had 3 local newspapers. It now has none.

Today is #RedDressDay #National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ People. It's crucial that we persist in addressing the underlying issues of violence, such as colonialism, racism and misogyny.
