i'm the same about those exact spaces! like NUH UH, i don't need to see/hear/scroll past all that. it's too many opinions or ways for me to build opinions on irrelevant stuff. i like living a life where i'm more often actively choosing what i want to see vs. seeing merely what's passing my eyes.

it's how i was able to isolate that my family is/was the cause of so much anxiety. i don't operate w/ nonsense or noise in my life -- i like things! i watch things i like. i talk about stuff i like. my body is generally a positive space, so is my home. even w/ depression, life is pleasant for me.

i have VERY high self-esteem, but i think/know that’s a direct result of growing up with parents who weren’t curious about me and therefore don’t know how dope i am, and i thought that was stupid. 🤣

i made myself believe in myself enough for it to surpass judgment or motivation from other people.

don’t engage with media (social media, TV, music, etc.) that makes you feel bad about yourself or might increase how judgy you are. i think we know what this is for each of us instinctively.

talk to yourself out loud — using i, you, and we.

do what you say you’re going to do, especially small things.

encourage yourself out loud AS you’re doing things, especially hard things.

smile at yourself when you pass mirrors in your home.

learn any new things. acquiring knowledge helps a LOT.
