I'm a little sad that first accumulating snow of the season is going to start overnight. I'm still taking Belle out for 2am potty breaks and I'll be half asleep and won't have any video to remember her first look at snow. Oh well. Her 2nd look at snow in daylight will have to do.

The finished product. Tequila lime grilled chicken. That is the breast meat off one homegrown chicken. 😁 Salad prior to cheese and dressing. And of course I made a margarita for a beverage. 😋

I went and spent a couple hours at the nursing home visiting my neighbor because I hadn't been up there in a few weeks. I had thoughts that I might be able to get the dogs out for an hour once I got home and before the weather got too bad, but let me just say it's crappy.
Two breast halves from my homegrown meat chickens. They are now cut up, pounded into cutlets and hanging out in marinade for the day. Tequila lime grilled chicken tonight. I had to make a double batch of marinade. 😂😂

I caught the last chicken. Yay!!
Also something as been getting into that old rickety building after dark and turning over the feeder. I saw something duck under the foundation when I went to get the last chicken and I'm 80% certain it was a skunk. 😖

Yeehaw! My husband helped with the chicken rodeo and I got all the chickens moved from barn B to barn A pre-snow storm. Well except for one that got loose while I was carrying it between barns. Hopefully she ends up roosting tonight where I can catch her. LOL

The first snow storm of the season is on its way tomorrow night. It's lake effect so that means anywhere from 0" to 60". 😂 I guess I'm moving all my chickens out of summer quarters into winter quarters tonight and putting away the garden hose I use to fill waterers.

I'm still working thru which hunting pants to buy. Took a drive to BassPro. Did not buy any pants. Tried on several different kinds. Decided I did not want the Sitka pants I was looking at. Bought some ammo with points. Bought a new barn coat at Burlington. Goals accomplished.

Opening day of rabbit season. Otis and I spent 3 hours on a piece of public land where we've found rabbits in past years but no rabbits today.
We did however come home with a Mylar balloon. 🤦♀️😂

Opening day of rabbit season. Otis and I spent 3 hours on a piece of public land where we've found rabbits in past years but no rabbits today.
We did however come home with a Mylar balloon. 🤦♀️😂
Also I had to edit this video about 8 times to get under Bluesky's size limit. Ugh!

My new oven has an air fryer function. It is not as quick or convenient as a counter top model but it takes up no extra space in the kitchen and it works just as well once the oven heats up.
Heating up leftover pizza for dinner. Top notch. 😋
