coming off of the hades 2 stuff this sounds like absolute hubris

getting a build into an average players hands and asking what feels good vs feels bad. sounds very subjective but it honestly is. games are an art and figuring out how the details pull in or push away a specific player base is paramount to getting that media in the hands of your target audience.

play testing, with the play testers taking notes and giving critiques throughout. top that off with EOD/EOW developer-led Q&A [i mean question and answer, not quality assurance (QA is essential but not the forefront when discussing feel and juice)].

like, if i didn’t 100% balatro and they added 100 more cards i would just put it down and not play more. it’s like my brain but it just is what it is.
