Little District Books in DC is doing a monthly book club on the Game Changers series. Thought I’d see what all the fuss is about with the first book 🏒🏳️‍🌈📚

First book I read this year.

First Taylor Jenkins Reid book I ever read and I loved it.

The research she did really jumps off the page.

The slow burn romance.

The pacing between timeframes that builds to a well-deserved (for the reader) and well-earned ending (for the author). All of it! 🔭🚀📚

I read Frankenstein (finally!). There’s so much about the book to discuss, from queer & disability themes, to how various film & television adaptations have informed the broader cultural understanding of the text.

Looking for recommendations for any essays analyzing the different themes? #booksky

French toast for the table because Somebody Somewhere is #Emmys nominated for writing and supporting actor in a comedy series! Woohoo!!

Seriously, watch the show if you haven’t seen it (and you probably haven’t.) All three seasons streaming on HBO Max.

The writing in this book is very good. The plot and pacing kept me turning the pages. There’s not much else to say without spoiling it, so I’ll just implore you to read this novel. 🍐🍐

A year ago I wrote about hot dogs, an iconic Jennifer Coolidge line, and pulmonary hypertension for the Fourth of July 🌭🫁🫀🇺🇸

Would love for folks to give it a read. You might learn something about PH!

Happy 10th anniversary to this absolute banger of an album. I hope in the next decade we can address how truly underrated it is.
