I think on the whole the bike lane has actually been beneficial, but on its own it’s not nearly enough address the situation.
Speed bumps, better lighting, signage, actually penalizing people who drive like assholes, etc… all needs to be part of the solution.

Not from tonight’s tragic hit and run, but here’s an example of what we see on a regular basis.
Our friends down the block have video of people drag racing *in the fucking separated bike lane.*
Yet the city just says “speeding happens everywhere” and shrugs their shoulders.

Yeah, I think it sells for special events (WCQ, big playoff game, etc…) but if it’s 12F for a regular season MLS game against the Colorado Rapids I think a LOT of people stay home. And I won’t blame them.
