As a small business owner I can tell you categorically that not every one of these business owners "believed that, with Brexit, the regulatory burden on their shoulders would become less"

It was quite the opposite and plenty of small business owners campaigned to Remain for precisely this reason.

🧵 …and the key part is the hand of Robbie Gibb once again stirring things up. How he can stay on the Board of Governors with this massive conflict of interest is beyond me. #r4today

I mean, it feels like there’s a lot of bias in BBC News over the last 10-12 years but not towards ‘The Left’

It would be quite nice if the Tony Blair Institute took a day off every now and then

And we can moan about the players but it’s Manning’s job to organise, motivate and inspire them.

He’s so dour and miserable that I can’t see how anyone’s going to want to play *for* him.

Duffy is back?

Setting aside all of the *issues* how can he be fit enough to start?

He hasn’t played a minute of football this season. Did he even feature in the preseason?

What does it say about our recruitment?

Absolutely desperate from Manning

Eh?

The more religious or ‘spiritual’ you are, the greater your connection to nature and the environment?

I know it’s a report in an actual scientific journal but if your starting premise is irrational then surely your end report is going to be flawed.

This a very strange line in The Guardian’s piece about Royal scandals.

Sex with underage children is ‘Not as bad as…’ what Leopold II did in the Congo?

Surely both are terrible things. Do they need to be ranked?

Attanasio confirms the River End stadium redevelopment is paused. That’s something at least.

Cancel the tennis balls! 🎾

No plans to sack Manning though (I doubt that’ll hold if we lose on Saturday and midweek though)

Just watched House of Dynamite on Netflix and checking the IMDb reviews:

“Might be the worst movie I ever saw, and I saw the remake of point break, so that’s saying something’

Which seems fair.

Hats off to whoever sent these letters.

Hilariously ironic quote from the Reform councillor in the piece

“"It is the vulnerable people that I'm concerned about," he added.”

It’s literally the opposite, mate.

Worth reading the whole thing but the section on Starmer / Labour says so much about the situation nationally. Not good.

"His comments came as NatWest reported a strong jump in profits, which grew 30.4% to £2.18bn in the three months to the end of September"

Worth pointing out that Barclays are also on course for around £2bn profits for the quarter so it's not like the banking sector is going to go under is it?
