I want to move to somewhere like Joliet, because I want to stay in Illinois because I don’t feel comfortable living in surrounding states and it’s been my home all of my life.

I got a neighbor who recently put up a Pritzker sucks sign.

I also consider it a form of digital currency as well, and I have only ever done cash trades on Steam’s own marketplace, which is the safest way, but the money is locked into Steam itself.

I am also not going to take TF2 items either, despite me trading a fair bit for the last few years, as not everyone plays that game, and trying to find someone who doesn’t scam your ass and steal your keys AND your money with a chargeback is like finding a needle in a haystack.

And no, I don’t want to get corrective surgery, which is mighty expensive and could damage my vision if they screw up.

I don’t even think my insurance pays for that either.

I think I remember paying like $300 last time I went back in 2021. I was told that contacts were $600 per pair, so I decided not to buy them. They may be like $800 these days.

I’ve spent about a $1000 this week and now I got bills from my hospital for checkups totaling $55.

I was planning to get contacts too but now I don’t even want to know how much those are going to cost, there’s probably a good reason I don’t wear them anymore. My insurance won’t pay for them either.

Today I remembered why I don’t get eye exams yearly anymore.

I paid about $500 for an exam, new lenses, and frames. My insurance only paid 43% for the exam and lenses and left me paying in full for the frames, which was $150 including tax.

I’m thinking of deleting my Discord account and server soon since I have abandoned them and they likely have no activity.

This hack has cemented my decision to do this, that site is not safe to use anymore.

Hackers were able to access copies of IDs, but also IP addresses and usernames/profiles associated with them.

A huge blow for anonymity online and a risk for marginalized communities and politically or legally disfavored groups.

From Discord release:

The data that may have been impacted was related to our customer service system. This may include:

• Name, Discord username, email and other contact details if provided to Discord customer support
• Limited billing information such as payment type, the last four digits of your credit card, and purchase history if associated with your account
• IP addresses
• Messages with our customer service agents
• Limited corporate data (training materials, internal presentations)
The unauthorized party also gained access to a small number of government-ID images (e.g., driver's license, passport) from users who had appealed an age determination. If your ID may have been accessed, that will be specified in the email you receive.

It is partially my fault for not having money, since college is a gamble and I picked the wrong major to specialize in when I should have spent it in an animation and film major instead.

I only have $2.5k stocked in my bank for emergencies, in case I get laid off because my employer went bankrupt, which is probably about to happen.

But even $2.5k-$3k is nothing now in this country.
