They/Them

Casually a hardcore Nintendo fan.
The more I use the Joy-Con 2s, the less reason I see in buying a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the feeling of the Switch 2 Pro Controller. I tried it before at some demo kiosks and it's super comfortable and smooth.

Here are my reasons why (a thread):

Metroid Fusion is just #Alien Resurrection if it wasn't a comedy film.

An absolute classic, and a revolutionary Metroid title that solidified the gameplay mechanics of the rest of the Metroid series.

Samus talks a lot in this one, but I'm not complaining. It's a lot of good internal monologue.

I have fully 100%ed Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

It took me roughly 17 days to complete, which feels ridiculously short for three whole games, one of which is played twice.

I didn't think I would beat these three back to back within less than a full month.

#AltText version.

Just based on how The Super Mario Bros. Movie influenced Super Mario Bros. Wonder, it should come as no surprise if the next movie inspires Galaxy 3.

I don't know any other idea more perfect than a return to the Galaxy series, now actually feeling like a galaxy on Switch 2.

Seems like the Bluesky ratings on Google Play are improving steadily.

I think this further reinforces my belief that the app was intentionally review bombed.

People chose to rate this with 1 star, then write a review highlighting minor issues as if it was justification.

New Joy-Con 2 colours announced on the Nintendo Today! app.

The review bombings of Bluesky on Google Play seem to be slowing down.

It was previously at an average of 1.9 stars.

Some of the 1 star criticisms are genuine, but seriously? People need to lighten up and acknowledge some of the food sides of the platform. Those issues are not 1-star worthy.

Now, I'm onto Galaxy 1. I've actually already 100%ed this game before on the Wii, beating the game as both Mario and Luigi.

However, for the sake of nostalgia, and to prepare for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, I figured I should revisit this game.

I don't mind missing out on the Galaxy 1+2 content.

In just 3 days, I 100%ed Sunshine. It was also the first time in my life that I've beaten Sunshine, believe it or not.

I beat the infamous lily pad level flawlessly, never letting Yoshi drown or falling into the insta-death water.

I also beat the final boss flawlessly, not that it was difficult.

One of the gifts I've received for Christmas (a month early) was Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

I initially did not buy this game because I have all three original versions of these games.

However, I had the sudden urge to sit through each of these games and 100% them all.

In just 2 days, I did SM64.

#Samsung Gaming Hub is becoming progressively worse as time goes on.

The starting page no longer displays all of your games.

Instead, you have to painstakingly tap on the top right or scroll down through numerous ads until you've found games that aren't listed at the top, alongside advertisements.

I've always heard "Nweegn" as the way to pronounce it.

(Sorry for the low effort alt text. This was meant to be a quote post, but the OP disabled replies and quote posts.)

My second playthrough involved running through the game quickly, remembering most of the locations for items and trying to scan as much as possible, even though I knew there are only 100 things that are necessary for scanning.

By now, I had gotten used to the game and skipped some cutscenes.

My first playthrough of the game was more like getting used to the game.

Right before launch, I had just finished my first playthrough of Prime Remastered. However, that was played using sticks + gyro.

With Beyond, it was regaining muscle memory on mouse mode. However, I customized my controls.

Yesterday, I fully completed #Metroid Prime 4, getting 100% twice over on Normal and Hard difficulties.

This is a rather short game that relys on repeated playthroughs of the game, like many other Metroid titles.

Waited 18 years since Corruption, 8 years since announcement, 6 years since restart.

There are multiple instances in #Metroid Prime 4: Beyond where specifically going from Fury Green to Sol Valley results in an unusually long load time. This doesn't occur in any other location, not even in the opposite direction.

In my case, it's on Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on a Game Card.

Bluesky is getting review-bombed on Google Play as of late. Something's going on here...

Presenting... #Metroid Prime 4 Hard Mode!
December 21, 2025 at 10:36 PM
#Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is officially the first Metroid game I have 100%ed, and the sixth I have completed overall.

This game doesn't really blow me away. It's pretty much what happens when you combine Metroid Prime with Ocarina of Time.

One of the two DualSense controllers that came with my PlayStation 5 is now drifting badly to the point where deadzone adjustments no longer help.

It's actually drifting much worse than my Switch Pro Controller, and that I've had since late 2018, whereas I've only had the DualSense since late 2022.

LEGO Ninjago to Fortnite is a welcome addition, but oh my lord does it complicate the game so much.

We BARELY got off from Expeditions content being integrated in, now there's Ninjago stuff to grasp.

So much to learn and so much to do.

Anyone with the Flux Construct.

Metroid Prime 4 is feeling more and more like the 3D Zelda game that people so much desire, at least gameplay-wise.

While the story is as subtle as Metroid games usually are, I really think traditional Zelda fans would enjoy this.

Despite seeing near-simultaneous 3rd party releases on Nintendo Switch 2 yesterday, it's a real bummer that Minecraft Bedrock was not among them. Backwards compatibility only goes so far.

It would be a bit ridiculous to think that Nintendo has not yet supplied Microsoft with a Switch 2 dev kit.

In one of those fan-fic drafts, I also introduced another character. Scar in the face mask, large stature and body build of a Yiga Blademaster, commanding figure of the Yiga Clan.

Two years after his conception, guess who appeared in Age of Calamity?
