Here's something I've been noticing while playing #Metroid Prime Remastered.

I think it's safe to call it a retro console, even if it's the first HD console.
Personally, where I draw the line is the architecture. Consoles using x86 or ARM64 based architectures are considered modern, consoles that use proprietary architectures or older ARM are considered retro.

I don't think I could get used to seeing Nintendo rapid-fire game releases within weeks of each other and not too long after a console launch to prepare for the holidays.
PLZA and AoI aren't even fully Nintendo releases, but Nintendo certainly had to cram them into their release schedule.

I've decided to pause my completionist run in Age of Imprisonment to play #Metroid Prime Remastered.
I've held off way too long, partially due to Prime 4's release date being announced quite late.
Since this is my first time playing on Switch 2, I've decided to start a new save file.

I've attempted to replicate this in Docked mode. Turns out I pushed myself into conditions even more prone to drops in frame rate.
It... was actually playable.
I guess the only explanation is that the Switch 2 dock "de-underclocks" the Switch 2 by a much larger margin than the Switch 1 on Docked.

Having completed Age of Imprisonment, I will be returning to Age of Calamity to do some testing on Nintendo Switch 2.
I had previously experienced multiple game crashes, primarily in handheld mode.

After a little over 50 hours, I have achieved 100% Map Completion in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.
That's roughly the same amount of time taken to get 100% in Age of Calamity without DLC.

The trailer showed most of what we already know. I actually thought it was just a re-upload of an older trailer.
Still, it is good they consolidated everything into one trailer for people to see.

Yes, we get the "bad ending" that everyone desired. However, the way that the ending was written in Age of Imprisonment interprets the story in quite a different tone than Tears of the Kingdom.

Many new characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment follow a clever naming scheme: they're named for ancient real-world things related to what they are.
For example, the Mysterious Construct's name comes from the ancient practice of never revealing a character's true name until release. 😔

One thing I've finally been able to do was complete the PAL Hidden Mansion in Luigi's Mansion, and I've accomplished it with Rank A, the highest score on the GameCube version.
