A week later and I’m still underwhelmed. I need a book with a strong FMC that I’ll love. The last book I attempted to read I DNF’d 56% in because she was manipulative and treated the MMC like a project.

I’ve read 7 books this month and so far all but one have left me a little disappointed 😫i also need to get outta the streets because it’s making it hard to enjoy some of my contemporary romances🤣

Sometimes I’m so emotionally invested in a book that’s breaking my heart that I have to skip forward to read enough of the epilogue to ensure that they got a happy ending. This book ends on a cliffhanger so I had to download book 2 prematurely just to do it🤣

Saw a tiktok where a lady calculated how much she would have spent on books without KU. So because I’m procrastinating on laundry I looked mine up for the month so far. Without KU I would have spent $213.55 on books this month. And I’ll likely read between another 5-10 books before the month is done

At least once a year for the past 7 years I have a flashback & I stare at the wall for about 39 seconds thinking about how my ex-husband took his seasonings when we separated. Like you cheated on me repeatedly…you coulda left the smoked paprika.

Swear I’m about to dnf this book if the author uses another word that ends in -ness instead of -tion. For example: discreetness instead of discretion. Tenseness instead of tension. It’s so dumb but it’s bothering me so bad!🤣

Birthdays stopped hitting for me after losing my mom. But I’m blessed to see 39. Absolutely insane that I now feel every bit of my age😫. 39 is sobering.

The fact that I really was about to cry at the end of Quasim 2 and dreamt about them last night as if these were real people is insane!🤣Jahquel J really is a gifted storyteller and lives up to the hype.

I’m not in competition with anyone, & don’t think I’m superior…but I really do want to brag on myself for reading 32 books this month. I need to scale back though because I’m behind on all of my shows. But I’m enjoying my book worlds so much more than the tv ones this month!
