It feels super important for US citizens to refuse to comply, within the framework of their rights *IF* they can (obvs shouldn’t be a gamble but here we are). Most citizens don’t know they have that option at all, and that’s being leveraged against everyone.

I’m so sorry I have no idea how to describe this but I’ll do my best. Four photos in a grid of different sides of a ceramic sculpture in the shape of a globe or sphere but with the top half carved in a way that makes it look like something natural made of wood or stone, hollow on the inside. Surface color inside & out is a blended & layered range of earthy browns, tans, dark moss, bronze. Approximately the size of a large orange or apple.

Also overwhelmed today—state of our nation and the world, and a bunch of shit in my own life that is too much—and on a walk this afternoon I saw this (literal lol) sign. 🫶

We also had a ton of snowdrops this year, at the opposite end of the line of tall slender deciduous trees we share with our neighbor, from where the crocuses have set up.

Late March. A rocky ground at the base of a tree. Leaf litter and twigs scattered around. Snowdrops—dainty porcelain white blooms that “droop” downwards, arching from their vivid emerald green pine-needle-like stems—poke up through the deciduous detritus in happy clumps.

Learned this because I saw we had a wide swath of crocuses pop this year (only had a few last year; none the prior year) and when I went over to take a photo, I heard buzzing, thought they *might* be honeybees but wasn’t sure. Did a lil search et voila!
