'Just for a Second' is for my money one of the best deep house tracks of the past 10 hears. That beat has stayed in my head rent free since 2017. Fabulous album.

I want to add, if I was to vote today, it wouldn't be labour it would be more left leaning e.g. Lib Dems etc. But it's still nice to know I wear left leaning, woke clothing.

It's why I'm so surprised the likes of Rough Trade and Bleep gave it the Number 1 spot, it really doesn't deserve it there were much better records out this year. It felt a bit of a cheap cop out by them, a safe choice if you will.

Agreed, saw her perform this live at Barbican in Sept '23, life affirming concert, you felt the music in your soul. Down as one of the all timers. If you can get a copy of the tape as well, phenomenal music contained within.
