My wife, @ashliehammond.bsky.social, is a writer. She’ll tell you herself she is *not* a visual artist. But sometimes when she gives me a script and I’m having trouble coming up with the visuals the way she wants, she’ll do a sketch. Like this. And it’s *extremely* helpful.

Spending today in the Nelson-Atkin museum of art in KC. I did not know that they had a GODDAMNED CARAVAGGIO.
The aforementioned goddamned Caravaggio. Depicting a chuirascuro style painting of a tired man, nude but for a bright red robe draped around his legs and wrapped about his waist. Hes holding a staff, and his form melds in and out of the dark background of the painting, like it might swallow him whole.
