On that, I really wish there was a competitor for YouTube. It’s Google-owned and their algorithms and what they allow on the site make me feel nasty just using it.
Maybe Bluesky should get in on that.

“Voting against their own interests” is a good example of progressive speak which while true and an important, destructive factor among voters, is marketed so terribly and insultingly that people just get pissed off and tune it out.

We are led to believe there are two teams: Ds and Rs, but in reality the two teams are those beholden to corporate special interests (which is like 90+% of both parties) and the ones that aren't. Following politics is like watching a Super Bowl where 90% of both teams owe a ton of money to a bookie.

Whether an unarmed person can successfully and safely disarm a shooter is entirely dependent on the specific circumstances.
