It’s really depressing that almost every video essay on most media is “THIS is why THIS THING SUCKKKSSSS” And it’s like an hour long. Idk video essays used to be fun to have in the background. Now it’s just so negative. I just find myself rewatching Lindsey Ellis or HBBomberGuy instead.

“It doesn’t matter they’re in Hell.” Yes. Yes it does. It is fundamental to the understanding of any text that you understand the goddamn setting and environment that the characters are in. You cannot apply concepts of “legality” and “accountability” in a lawless literal hellscape. #hazbinhotel

Maybe it is because some people in the fandom are too young to understand how goddamn scarce queerness was in media… but like. I’m kind of tired of seeing people picking at Hellaverse for the relationships when it’s like. Really important for queerness to just exist in stories.

I also find it annoying when someone calls liking a show “glazing” as if it’s somehow a bad thing to just absolutely adore something. People are allowed to enjoy things!

The thing that annoys me about people even joking that they hate Hazbin Hotel despite liking it is that it’s specifically centred around an unapologetically queer adult show and it basically feels like we’re just not allowed to enjoy queer shows and that there always needs to be shame around it.
