People who sit out an election because of some single issue, moral superiority litmus test aren’t making a statement. They aren’t teaching anyone a lesson. They just lose, and the rest of us lose with them.

Most people of color don’t have the luxury of single issue purity tests. Black voters, especially, are rarely single issue voters. That’s how we’ve survived.
