I was going to go to the socialist bookstore but I realized I could go to the library instead.

Disagreement is important. Sometimes you change your mind and sometimes you understand better why you were right.

Unfortunately the internet encourages an aggressive and hostile style of disagreement that can be exhausting, especially if you have a bigger audience.

What an achievement vaccines are. What a monument to our love for each other it is to stare straight into the face of something as horrific and unstoppable as smallpox or measles or polio or cervical cancer and say “You know what, it doesn’t have to be like this.”

HUMANS!

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

If there’s one thing I hear from professionals who plan/design cycling infrastructure that advocates miss, it’s the importance of transitory infrastructure.

You can’t just plop down A+ infrastructure like this everywhere at once. You’re at the mercy of funding cycles and road maintenance schedules.

I don’t even know why I stopped using this in the first place? Good GOD it’s nice to be in a digital space with other real human beings.
